4 Ways To Fight Cancer

Fighting the Good Fight......Getting cancer doesn't have to be your destiny. The choices you make today can determine whether you hear that dreaded diagnosis in the future.
Listed here are 4 steps you can take in the right direction toward prevention of many diseases, including the big "C".
1. Investigate, Discover, Get Out of Denial
Having a family history of cancer makes you at higher risk for contacting the disease. Get to a doctor and get tested for the cancer that runs in your family. Wishing, worrying, and praying that certain symptoms will go away will not resolve the matter. Get advice from your physician, get tested. Do not be an ostrich; hiding your head in the sand and leaving your body exposed to disease. Many drug stores offer inexpensive testing kits for colon and other types of cancer.
2. Avoid Taking Risks With Your Health
In the fight against cancer, many patients particularly smokers, may feel that doctors blame everything on cigarettes. The doctors may be right. Studies show that smoking increases your risk for just about everything associated with aging, including wrinkles, clogged arteries, cataracts, impotence and, of course - cancer.
Other carcinogens to avoid include arsenic, which, when found in drinking water, increases the risk of bladder and other cancers; pesticides; dyes; chemicals, such as benzidine, beta-naphylamine (previously used in making rubber); and gas and diesel fumes.
Wear a face mask if you use chemicals on a daily basis like painting, manicuring, or applying chemicals to lawns, buildings and surroundings. If you know fumes are being expelled into the environment, get away from the area completely or wear a good quality face mask at all times to protect your lungs from exposure to harsh chemicals and the risk of getting lung cancer.
3. Begin A Healthy Diet - Supplement with Vitamins
Studies show that a healthy diet rich in nutrients, vitamins and minerals can prevent certain cancers.
To prevent bladder cancer take Vitamins A, B6, C, D and E and folic acid. Include garlic in your diet - supplement with the odorless variety.
Drink lots of green tea; sweeten your tea with Stevia. Use psyllium husks regularly to keep the colon clean, as well as maintain the correct moisture level in the bowel tract.
To prevent prostate cancer, take Vitamins D & E. Try a good quality Prostate Support supplement.
Eat a low fat diet, exercise regularly. Avoid sugar, starch and high fat diets. Eat raw foods whenever possible. Purchase only vegetables that are labeled 'organically grown'.
